Virtuo Epoxy Coal Tar

Epoxy Coal Tar is a two-component, high-build epoxy coating blended with coal tar pitch. It’s engineered for superior corrosion, chemical, and abrasion protection on steel, concrete, and other structural materials — ideal for industrial and marine environments.

• Two-pack epoxy with coal tar reinforcement for enhanced protection
• Self-priming, direct-to-metal / concrete application
• Excellent resistance to water, acids, alkalis, oils, and salts
• Tolerant of damp or oily surfaces (in certain systems)
• High film thickness capability (100–250 µm DFT typical)
• Dry heat resistance up to ~ 150 °C (dry condition)
• Mixing ratio commonly 4 : 1 (Base : Hardener)
• Pot life at 20–30 °C: 4–6 hours (depends on system)
• Surface dry: ~ 4 hours at 20 °C; Hard dry: ~ 24 hour
• Application: Spray, roller, brush
• Overcoating window: from ~6 hours up to a few days depending on system
